Gill Tyson printmaker medium printmaking - lithographs and etchings
Gill grew up in Fife. She studied at
Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh University, graduating with an MA
(hons) in Fine Art.
In 1980 she learnt the technique of wood
engraving with Sheila Mac Farlane at the Kirk Tower House Studios in
Montrose.
She has been involved with Edinburgh
Printmakers since 1979, serving as chairman from 1982-1986, and
currently as vice-chairman.
Among other things Gill has worked for the Scottish Arts Council and Museums and Galleries Commission.
Gill has shown in numerous joint and solo
exhibitions in Scotland and across Europe. Her work is held in many
private company and personal collections.
