Kerry Cox
ceramicist
Medium: raku fired ceramics As a child Kerry was always fascinated by nature, especially those things which could be found under stones or in the woods. Whilst studying at the Cumbria College of Art and Design Kerry developed her understanding of colour, texture and pattern; combined with her fascination for all things outdoors Kerry's ceramic pieces burst with natural quality. Made from Earthenware clay and hand built using press moulds, slab building and fine modelling techniques, Kerry's work is then hand painted using coloured slips, ceramic stains and oxides, or dipped into a range of brightly coloured mouth watering alkaline glazes.
